"But for the Grace of God, there go I"...Has one having suffered through insecurities, low self-esteem, domestic violence, sexual abuse, drug addiction, promiscuity, suicidal tendencies, oppression, depression as well as an unquenchable thirst for acceptance; It is my desire, compassion, motivation, and determination to...
I love the Lord and I owe him my life. I am a messenger of (Good News) the Gospel of Jesus Christ; accepted the call of God into ministry in the year 2000; licensed as a local minister under the tutelage of Pastor Norman Orell, 2002; went on to be further grounded into ministry under the tutelage of Pastor Maurice Garrett (Seek His Face Ministries) where I was ordained in 2007 under the umbrella of the Believers in Christ Empowerment Fellowship Presiding Bishop, Robert L. Gorham (Wilson Chapel). I have been honored and privileged to have served in the house of GOD in various capacities in ministry as well as installed and served as Co-Pastor to Pastor Pamela Burt 2009 (Victory Cathedral of Deliverance Ministries). Obtained an Associates Degree in Information Systems Technology from Edgecombe Community College May, 2002 and served as Ambassador for the college during a year of my tenure there, as well as, obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology; Specializing in Christian Counseling from Liberty University August, 2013 while working on and obtaining certification/credentialing for GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator) Dec, 2012.
While working for Workforce Development & Training Center/Edgecombe Community College as intake specialist for (YTEP) a Youth Training & Educational Program for trouble teens under the umbrella of Turning Point, I had the honor to process & work with a diverse group of about twenty or so youth as well as mentor 8-10 young ladies between the ages of sixteen through eighteen. I was granted also the privilege to be a part of an empowerment para-ministry- Buildup! an entity of Jackie Mason Ministries as a volunteer for several years @ "Fountain Correctional Center for Women" where I once served time as well. When God found me, I was at the threshold of death & my only wish was to die because I no longer knew how to live; my life had become one big black empty whole and I had more than sank 6 feet under. But God came where I was and rescued me from death and charged me to "Live and not Die" saved me from myself and reckless intents to make bad choices. Just when I was convinced there was no need to live and that God didn't care, he (GOD) showed up proved me and the devil wrong and loved me out of hell & torment... Hallelujah & Glory 2 God Forever! He taught me how to love myself , how to be good to me, & how to BLOSSOM! I am so Glad that God's Love for me was far Greater than my wish to die and he came where I was to show me. That's LOVE!!!!
Eternally Grateful,
Sharon L. Graves
